On Saturday afternoon Concord Rangers play their penultimate home game of the season as the Beach Boys entertain Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The visitors will be looking to repeat the feat of their 3-0 win over Rangers back in October; a game that was Rob Small's first game in charge of Concord Rangers.

On Thursday night the Beach Boys picked up their third home win on the bounce with a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Dartford courtesy of a Lewis Manor brace and a Ben Steward goal.

Hampton come into this tie having won nine of their past 13 Vanarama National League South matches. During this run they have seen off high flyers Eastbourne Borough and Chelmsford City.

Last weekend the Beavers secured their step two status for another season with Mel Gwinnett's men coming from behind to beat Weymouth 2-1 thanks to a late Ruaridh Donaldson winner.

Despite this the Londoners away form has been poor of late with the Beavers winning just two of their past 12 games on the road.

The last two meetings between the two sides have ended in wins for Hampton; with the side from the Beveree Stadium beating the Beach Boys 3-0 in October and 2-1 in early 2022.

Having said that, the Aspect Arena hasn't proved to be a happy hunting ground for Hampton with the Beavers winning just once away to Concord in their history. This solitary win came back in 2020 when goals early in both halves from Ryan Hill and Danilo Orsi-Dadomo secured a 2-0 win for the visitors.

Key Player

Dean Inman

Now in his second spell with the club defender Dean Inman re-joined Hampton in the summer of 2019 having started out his career at the Beveree Stadium.

Since returning to South East London, Inman has become a firm fan favourite and has been ever present in a Hampton shirt this season with only Alfy Whittingham and Jake Gray appearing more often than the 32 year old.

Inman will also be a recognisable name for Concord fans as he scored Hampton's third goal in their 3-0 victory over the Beach Boys earlier in the campaign.

Inman has been promoted from this level once before with Maidenhead United in 2017. As well as this Inman has previously played in Essex for our near neighbours Billericay Town.

So far this term Inman has five goals to his name.

They've played for both

Mo Bettamer

Concord's top scorer this campaign with ten goals to his name Mo Bettamer will be desperate to get on the scoresheet against his former employers and net his first goal in nine games.

The Libyan international joined the Beach Boys on loan from Hayes & Yeading United shortly after Rob Small took charge and since then Bettamer has played a key role in Concord's relegation fight as without his goals Concord would have picked up seven less points than they have at the moment.

Bettamer had a short spell at Hampton during the 2012/13 season before moving to Libya to represent Al-Ahly SCSC.

Nana Kyei

Another current Concord player, Nana Kyei has been with the Beach Boys since February 2022.

Following a 2018 loan spell from Barnet, Kyei returned to the Aspect Arena last season and bagged six goals before the campaign's end.

Kyei has also been impressive this season with the 25 year old scoring three goals. Whenever the winger has been on the scoresheet this term Concord have never lost with Kyei netting in wins over Dover Athletic and Hemel Hempstead Town and in our 2-2 draw at Chippenham Town.

Shortly after his loan spell at the Aspect Arena, Kyei then joined Hampton on loan making five appearances for the Beavers.
