POST MATCH INTERVIEW | ROB SMALL VS HEMEL HEMPSTEAD

What was your overall thoughts on the game?

It was a really underwhelming performance which we can ill afford in our current situation.

We saw Alfie Cutbush make his debut off the bench. What do you expect him to bring to the side?

We are delighted to have Alfie with us and we hope he’ll bring energy to the team with the quality you’d expect of someone on Ipswich Town’s books.

At 1-0 we were still in the game. Would you say conceding early in the second half had an impact on the players morale?

Goals change games. The first goal comes from nothing, and we have to defend that moment better. The second was equally poor. We can’t take nothing away from Hemel because they were far superior, but we have to be harder to beat than that.

Looking ahead, we have two tough games coming up against Farnborough and Havant what sort of challenges are you expecting those two sides to offer?

Every game in this division is tough so there is nothing new about the challenge ahead. We need to play with more energy, more desire and more aggression.
