Tomorrow afternoon Concord Rangers face Weymouth for the second time this month in what is a crucial relegation six pointer for both sides.
When the two sides last met, on the 7th of February, goals from Mo Bettamer and Ricky Modeste saw the Beach Boys come from behind to pick up a vital three points on the road; and it is possible that Concord could be victorious again given the contrasting form the two clubs find themselves in.
Concord made it two games unbeaten on Tuesday night following a dramatic penalty shootout victory over local rivals Canvey Island, after a goalless draw in the BBC Essex Senior Cup. This win means Rob Small's men will host Hornchurch next Tuesday for a place in the final.
Furthermore the Beach Boys have lost just one of their last four games - a 1-0 defeat away to high-flying Braintree Town.
On the other hand things have been pretty bleak at the Bob Lucas Stadium this month with Weymouth currently winless in four; a run of form that has seen the Terras slip to the bottom of the table just a month after manager Bobby Wilkinson signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2026.
However last Saturday Wilkinson's side did pick up a respectable 0-0 draw at home to playoff chasing St Albans City.
The last time the two sides met at the Aspect Arena it was Weymouth who walked away with three points in January 2020 as goals from Abdulai Bell-Baggie and Yemi Odubabe either side of a Michael O'Donoghue strike for Concord, sealed a 2-1 victory for the Terras.
Key Player
Brad Ash
Not too many players have stood out for Weymouth so far this term but Brad Ash has certainly been a solid performer for the Terras.
The 26 year old is currently Weymouth's top scorer with 12 goals to his name - five more than Concord's leading goal scorer Mo Bettamer.
Ash last popped up with a goal at the end of January when the striker scored in Weymouth's 2-1 loss at home to Chelmsford City.
Previously in his career Ash has also represented the likes of Boreham Wood, Hereford and Chippenham Town.

Nathan Carlyle
Current Weymouth defender Nathan Carlyle joined the Terras permanently in the summer from Queens Park Rangers having enjoyed a successful stint on loan at the Bob Lucas Stadium last term.
The Irishman has also had two spells with Concord so far in his career. Carlyle first joined Rangers on loan from QPR in December 2019 staying at the club up until April; before returning for another loan from Loftus Road during September 2020.
The 22 year old has made 35 appearances for the Terras this campaign.
